Pink was the colour of the day
February 24th was Pink Shirt Day. As a show of support, the colour pink was seen everywhere – t-shirts, blouses, men adorning their business suits with a pink tie, shoes and purses, pins and posters, and yes, even cupcakes.
CKNW Radio, the organizers of the Pink Shirt Day campaign, aims to raise awareness of bullying and its lasting effects. Funds raised from the sale of t-shirts and pins, as well as donations received are distributed to various groups that provide anti-bullying programs, counseling, education and resources. If you missed the event this year, join in on February 22, 2017. In the meantime, make a pledge to be kind and live a bully-free lifestyle.
