Stories of Christmases Past Contest
Have you ever wanted to write your own book or even be a contributor to a book? Have your name bright and bold in the pages of a book? Now is your chance.
Do you have a story that you’d like to share? It can be a family tradition, a childhood memory, a funny, sad or scary story, or something that exemplifies the Christmas spirit. The best Christmas proposal, the day you met Santa… Maybe you're creating a new memory right now!
I may not be able to use every single story that I receive. But if your story is picked from the submissions, you’ll have your name in the book (of course you can remain anonymous if you prefer). Contributors of qualifying submissions will receive a pdf copy of the book cover to cover. You will also have the opportunity to purchase your own hard copy at the printing cost. All qualified submissions will be entered into a draw for a free copy of the book along with a $50 Gift Certificate from one of several big name merchants, including restaurants, online distributors, music providers, etc.
The contest prize is a means to say Thank you. The real prize is an opportunity to have your story, along with others, published in a Christmas book. The publishing of the book is estimated for October 2018.
Please note, your submission is voluntary. There is no monetary compensation. You will have no claim to the book or collect royalty fees.
How to Submit Your Story
Your story should be typed in Word document format and be 250 – 1500 words in length. You will be contacted after your story has been received. Pictures will be accepted only after the story has been approved. The story may be edited for grammar, spelling and content. Include with your story, your full name, email address and city of residence. Submit your story to christmas.stories@outlook.com.
Submissions that do not meet the criteria will not be entered in the contest. The deadline for submissions is January 31, 2018, but may be expended. The draw from all qualifying submissions received will be July 31, 2018.
